I am a mathematical biologist - that is, I use maths to understand interesting questions in biology. The research in my group focusses on infectious diseases in ecological populations, thinking about how diseases spread and how they evolve. We develop mathematical models to investigate these issues, and work closely with experimental biologists to ensure our work is biologically relevant. In particular, we are interested in:
Simulation of disease spread - red=infectious, blue=healthy, black=empty space.
